Member of Parliament for West Portland, Daryl Vaz, has moved to reject what he’s calling politically motivated social media posts seeking to falsely link him to the sale and transfer of a building which housed embattled brokerage house Stocks and Securities Limited, SSL.
According to Vaz, the claim is false and politically motivated.
Vaz says the building in question was purchased in 2013 by businessman Christopher Boorman, the father of his now daughter-in-law.
He says that purchase happened over 10 years before Boorman’s daughter became part of his family.
Vaz says the transaction by Boorman to transfer the building to his daughter and son, was done by a law firm in which the People’s National Party president, Mark Golding is a partner.
He says he will take legal action against those who have been pushing false narratives on social media.
