Member of Parliament-elect for North East St Ann, Matthew Samuda, is calling on Labourites and the Jamaica Labour Party’s, JLP, machinery to begin the work of spreading the good news about the record of the Holness administration.
He was speaking in the constituency on Monday evening following his win in the by-election.
Shaloy Smikle reports.
The JLP MP-elect says the third term for his party rests on Labourites convincing supporters and members of the electorate that the party’s track record is better than the PNP’s.
Samuda secured North East St. Ann for the JLP with 4,838 votes, or 95 per cent of the ballots.
With the by-election out of the way, it’s widely expected that he’ll be returned as one of the ministers in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.
Mr. Samuda used his victory speech Monday night to tout the JLP government’s record of achievements. According to him, the Holness-administration has an incomparable record of performance.
Mr. Samuda called on supporters of the JLP to spread the message of the government’s performance ahead of the next general election due in 2025.
