PNP Slams Morgan’s ‘Arrogant’ Remarks Re Clerk’s Reprimand

Opposition Spokesperson on Information, Nekeisha Burchell, says comments by Information Minister Robert Morgan about the saga involving House Speaker Juliet Holness and former House Clerk Valrie Curtis, represent a crass display of arrogance.

At Wednesday’s post-Cabinet media briefing, Minister Morgan was asked whether Mrs. Holness would withdraw a letter of reprimand given to Ms. Curtis.

He responded that there are more important things which demand the government’s attention at this time.

Miss Burchell says that reaction is crude.

She reiterated the PNP’s position that the Speaker must withdraw her letter to the former clerk.
