The most neglected parish when it comes to health services. That’s how Opposition Spokesperson on Health, Dr. Alfred Dawes, described Portland.
Speaking at a People’s National Party forum in East Portland on Sunday, Dr. Dawes urged Portlanders to demand better from their members of parliament, MPs, where healthcare is concerned.
The current elected officials in the parish are the incumbent husband-and-wife duo of Daryl and Annmarie Vaz, the MPs for West and East Portland, respectively.
According to Dr. Dawes, the poor state of the health infrastructure in Portland is more evidence that the Holness administration is a government for the cameras.
