PNP Has ‘No Moral Authority’ to be Critics on Absence of Piped Water – Samuda

5 months ago 36

The minister with responsibility for water, Senator Matthew Samuda, says the Opposition People’s National Party, PNP, has no moral authority to criticise the Holness administration about the absence of piped water in several communities across the island.

Senator Samuda says the PNP is the only government in the country’s history, under whose watch water pipes were laid but never connected.

Senator Samuda was speaking to Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, supporters at the Area Council One meeting at the Fletcher’s Land Community Centre in West Kingston on Tuesday night.

He says it’s the JLP administration that has done the work to connect those pipes and bring the precious commodity into people’s homes across the Corporate Area.

And Minister Samuda, says the government is committed to fixing the age old sewage problem plaguing residents in West Kingston.

He says work has already started to fix the problem.
