The Opposition PNP is calling on the government to urgently repair a collapsed bridge in the Pedro River.
The bridge, which links Clarendon and St. Ann, reportedly collapsed in August following a truck accident.
PNP caretaker for Southeast St. Ann, Dr Kenneth Russell, and caretaker for North Clarendon, Wavell Hinds, say the area has been impassable since the collapse, causing significant disruption for local residents.
The collapse of the bridge has forced travellers to take a much longer detour via Fort George, McNie, and Tate, resulting in increased transportation costs and extended travel times.
Dr. Russell and Wavel Hinds are urging the National Works Agency and Member of Parliament Dwight Sibblies to address the issue with urgency.
