JLP Will Respond Strongly to PNP ‘Misinformation’ – Senator Fitz-Henley

Government senator, Abka Fitz-Henley, is vowing that the governing Jamaica Labour Party will respond strongly with the truth to, what he says, is a deluge of misinformation being fed to the public by the Opposition PNP.

Fitz-Henley took aim at three PNP bigwigs while he delivered the main address on the weekend at a meeting of the Central Executive of Generation 2000, G2K.

G2K is the young professional affiliate of the JLP.

Mahiri Stewart reports.

Senator Fitz-Henley says the move by PNP Vice President Ian Hayles to record a video where he alleged that the government is distributing black tanks in a partisan manner is an example of the misinformation being promoted by the opposition party.

The government senator says the JLP has been able to impose no new taxes on the Jamaican people over the past seven years, but grow its revenue numbers, due to the consistent expansion of the economy and more efficient collection.

He intensified his criticism of Peter Bunting and Mark Golding for disputing the government’s insistence that it has imposed no new taxes on Jamaicans.

Senator Fitz-Henley told G2K’s Central Executive that the JLP will not recoil from pushing back against what he described as false narratives.
