JLP to Use Bells Instead of Horns at 81st Annual Conference

Deputy leader of the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, Desmond McKenzie, says vuvuzela horns have been banned from the party’s 81st annual conference at the National Arena in St. Andrew on Sunday.

Mr. McKenzie says party supporters will be provided with bells.

He was speaking at a media briefing at the JLP’s Belmont Road headquarters on Wednesday.

The JLP deputy leader cited potential damage to one’s hearing as a key reason for the ban on the horns.
