JLP, PNP Clash Over Calls for PM Holness to Resign

Member of Parliament for North Central Clarendon, the Jamaica Labour Party’s, JLP, Robert Morgan, is reiterating the party’s position on the opposition People’s National Party’s, PNP, call for Prime Minister Andrew Holness to resign.

Morgan says the call falls flat, since the Integrity Commission did not find that the prime minister had illicitly enriched himself.

The PNP says the prime minister misled the public when he denied knowledge last year that any members of cabinet were being investigated by the IC.

Mr. Morgan rubbished those claims.

Meanwhile, president of the PNP Patriots, Christopher Henry, maintains that Prime Minister Andrew Holness will only compromise the office, if he refuses to step down.

Mr. Henry says the report leaves many questions unanswered.
