The Chairman of Jamaicans for Justice, John Clarke, says the matter of whether Jamaicans will accept dual citizens sitting in parliament and passing laws will ultimately come down to a value judgement.
Mr. Clarke was reacting to news that Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, is a dual citizen.
Mr. Golding is a Jamaican citizen by birth and a UK citizen by descent.
Speaking on Nationwide at Five, Mr. Clarke says it’s sad that Jamaicans wanting to serve in Parliament have had to renounce their dual citizenship.
