Tributes continue to pour in for Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, councillor for the Denham Town division in west Kingston, Jermaine Hyatt, following his death on Saturday.
Councillor Hyatt died of a heart attack at the Spanish Town Hospital in St. Catherine.
Hyatt was elected councillor for the Denham Town division in the November 2016 local government elections.
In paying tribute, Prime Minister Andrew Holness described Hyatt as a committed servant of his community, who was always striving to bring positive change to the lives of the people he served.
Meanwhile, Kingston Mayor Andrew Swaby says Hyatt was a brilliant, pleasant and promising leader who always carried himself with respect and humility.
JLP deputy leader for Area Council 1 and West Kingston member of parliament, Desmond McKenzie, says Hyatt’s passing comes only two weeks since the death of councillor for the Olympic Gardens division in West Central St. Andrew, Christopher Townsend.
