Director of Elections, Glasspole Brown, says electoral officials are having to advise voters in North West St. Andrew about the late withdrawal of one of the candidates before they cast their ballots in Friday’s by-election.
Rohan Banks, who was nominated as an independent candidate, withdrew his candidacy earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Mr. Brown says all 271 polling stations for all four by-elections opened on time.

Over 1,000 workers are marshalling Friday’s by-elections. A total of 74,700 electors are eligible to vote across the two parliamentary seats and the two divisions.
