Integrated Energy company, West Indies Petroleum Company Limited, WIP, has announced the appointment of Wayne Fraser as its new head of operations.
In a statement, WIP says Fraser brings over three decades of experience in the bauxite, petroleum, and construction industries to his new role at the entity.
The entity says Mr. Fraser is known for his strong leadership skills and ability to manage large teams and complex operations and will play a crucial role in its ongoing expansion efforts across the Caribbean and Latin American region.
WIP, which has established itself as a major player in ship bunkering and fuel distribution over the past decade, noted that it views Fraser’s appointment as a strategic move to strengthen its position in the competitive energy sector.
WIP CEO Charles Chambers is also expressing confidence in the new addition to the leadership team.
Fraser also welcomed the appointment.
West Indies Petroleum imports and exports fuel is a major local distributor of fuel and commercial-grade lubricants, and provides storage services.
With storage in excess of 700,000 barrels, the company boasts the second largest fuel bunker capabilities in Jamaica.
