Top Seeds Outclass Opponents in Senior Squash Championships

The top four seeded players in the 45th All Jamaica Senior Squash Championships cleared the first round after winning all their matches in straight sets at the Liguanea Club.

Number one seed Lewis Walters defeated Alex Chin in just 17 minutes with scores of 11-5, 11-1, 11-2.

Number two seed Bruce Burrowes got the better of Ethan Miller. Tahjia Lumley, the number three seed overpowered Aman Dhiman in the face of stiff competition. Fourth seed Jonathan Walker got by Nirmal Balani.

Jake Mahfood who captained team ‘Blown’ to win last year’s KPMG League also won his match in straight sets against Aaron Levy.

That match was interrupted in the second game by a sudden downpour of rain which resulted in leaks on the court.
