Teen quits school to pursue music

At just 15 years old, Kyle A1 made the bold decision to leave high school and pursue his music career full-time. Surprisingly, his parents weren't worried about the risks of a teenage dropout. Instead, they fully supported his choice, seeing the singular drive and ambition that their son possesses.

"My parents wanted me to continue, but they're getting comfortable with the situation because they have seen my talent; they believe in me, they know my work ethic. Plus, I believe my style and my early entry into the industry will guarantee my success," Kyle A1 explained confidently.

Known for his growing fan base on platforms like TikTok, the young artiste, whose real name is Andre Weise Thompson, is convinced he's destined for greatness. His latest single, Young Legend, has become an anthem for his journey and ambition.

"The Young Legend song is my most popular song to date," he shared. "The song is inspired by my parents. My mother inspires me a lot and she has always wanted me to reach my full potential. I want to make it so that she should enjoy the fruits of my asset, my music, before leaving the earth, so I have to become a young legend."

Kyle A1has fast-tracked the production of a music video for his newly released song. He expects the visuals released in January.

The up-and-coming entertainer grew up in St Thomas, was raised in a home filled with music, which helped nurture his early love for the craft. A former student at Yallahs High School, his passion for music began in the 5th grade, inspired by his family, especially his father, who is also involved in music.

At just 10 years old, Kyle A1 created his first full-length song and soon began experimenting with remixes of popular tracks. As he entered his teens, Kyle discovered his natural gift for producing original music, setting him firmly on the path to becoming a professional artiste. He acknowledges that his challenging upbringing, including financial struggles, deeply influences his music.

"I wouldn't say I grew up poor, but life was challenging at times. So I stopped school to chase my dreams," Kyle revealed.

Today, Kyle A1 is signed to HaaTFooT, a label and management company founded by his father. With this backing, he is determined to represent his parish, St Thomas, and uplift the youth of his community.

"With my style of music, I represent my parish, St Thomas, and for all the youths trying to find a way out of the slum. Believe!" Kyle A1 declared.
