St Elizabeth Technical High ended their 9-year title drought as they defeated Clarendon College 3-1 in the final of the Ben Francis competition earlier today at the National Stadium courtesy of strikes from Kaieem Lewis, Henry Johnson and Jordan Blake.
With the victory, St Elizabeth were winning their seventh title in the competition which sees them tied with Glenmuir and Cornwall College as the most successful schools in the rural area knockout competition.
Omar Wedderburn, head coach of the team, stated that this victory could be the start of something special.
"This is our seventh Ben Francis title. We have great plans for next year and this will motivate our program going forward," Wedderburn stated.
