Sagicor Real Estate Fund Buys Properties in Grand Cayman

Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Limited has announced the acquisition of a block of units at The Strand Shopping Centre.

The shopping centre is a prime commercial complex located by Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman.

X Fund has acquired the units for US $10 million.

In a release to the media, X Fund noted that the units are a diverse mix of well-known brands, including restaurants, banking services, and other key retail services which support the local and tourism market.

Chairman of X Fund, Howard Mitchell says the purchase is a milestone in the entity’s strategy to diversify its portfolio across strong, buoyant real estate markets.

The acquisition complements X Fund’s existing portfolio, which includes The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel at the entrance to Universal Orlando.
