S Hotel Montego Bay Named Best Waterside Hotel in North America

The S Hotel in Montego Bay has been named the best Waterside Hotel in North America by global travel powerhouse Condé Nast Johansens.

The award covers hotels in Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean.

The Condé Nast Johansens award was bestowed at last week’s World Travel Market in London, England. S Hotel’s United Kingdom representative, Debbie Melchor, collected the award.

Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett and a delegation of officials were in the United Kingdom for the travel show.

“Jamaica is immensely proud of the S Hotel Montego Bay for securing the esteemed Condé Nast Johansens Award for Excellence as the Best Waterside Hotel in North America and being among the top 25 Boutique Hotels by Hotels Above Par,” said Minister Bartlett.

“These prestigious recognitions underscores Jamaica’s standing as a world-class tourism destination with offerings that continue to captivate and inspire. Congratulations to the S Hotel team for their outstanding contributions to Jamaica’s tourism product and for representing our country on the global stage.”

Condé Nast Johansens is a global collection of independent luxury hotels, spas and venues approved annually by experts with over 40 years’ experience inspecting and recommending properties throughout the world.

S Hotel has received a string of awards recently.

Condé Nast recently named the S Hotel Montego Bay number one in its annual Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards. S Hotel Kingston (previously known as Spanish Court Hotel) was recognised as the #9 Best Hotel in Caribbean & Central America market for 2024.

Meanwhile, in April, S Hotel Montego Bay was voted Top All-Inclusive Hotels in the World; Top 25 Hotels in the Caribbean and Top 25 All-Inclusive in the Caribbean by the world’s largest travel guidance platform, TripAdvisor.

/S Hotel also picked up numerous other accolades including the number 1 All-Inclusive Caribbean resort in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2024 listing. In 2023 as the number one resort in the Caribbean and Central America and an impressive 16th globally on the Conde Nast Best Hotels in the World Readers’ Choice Awards.
