Romeich Major Apologizes For Assault At Rebel’s Birthday Party

Artist manager and entrepreneur Romeich Major has apologized to popular TikToker TJ Thuglife and his girlfriend Moya, who were assaulted during dancer Dancing Rebel’s birthday party early Saturday morning at Mass Camp.

In video footage of the incident, an individual orders one of his associates to attack someone. “Guh box him dung nuh,” the voice said. Then a man known as ‘Andre’ boxed TJ while other men repeatedly kicked him. 

Major, who has been larged blamed for the beating took to Instagram on Sunday, to apologize for the incident.

“There is no justification for my actions. I acted out of poor judgment, and I deeply regret the pain, and damage I have caused to TJ and Moya, their loved ones, and the community at large. Violence or harm of any kind is never acceptable, and I am ashamed of my role in this incident,” he wrote.

“I apologize unreservedly. No one deserves this, and I will do everything in my power to make amends. I am committed to taking responsibility for my actions and ensuring that nothing like this ever happens again.”

Major is best known as the founder of Romeich Entertainment, a multifaceted company involved in artist management, event planning, and music production. He has played a pivotal role in the careers of several popular Jamaican Dancehall artists, including Shenseea, Ding Dong, and Teejay.

In addition to his influence in the music industry, he is also known for his contributions to Jamaican fashion and for his philanthropic efforts.

Major continued: “I also want to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to all the amazing partners I work with for the impact this situation may have had on our collaborations. I remain committed to upholding the values and integrity that our partnerships represent, and I will work tirelessly to rebuild trust with you and our shared audiences.”

On Saturday, Dancing Rebel, real name Christina Nelson, had demanded a public apology from her manager Romeich in the wake of the incident. 

“Mi tell Romeich seh him affi mek a public apology and that is that,” she outlined before detailing that the night was going well prior to the altercations. “Mi really truly sorry seh the night did affi end suh because we did a have so much fun!” she added.

In his post on Sunday, Major emphasized full cooperation with any ongoing investigations and legal proceedings and a expressed commitment to supporting community initiatives promoting nonviolence and conflict resolution.

“I understand that words alone cannot undo the harm caused, but I am committed to demonstrating my remorse through meaningful actions and accountability. I hope to regain the trust I have lost, though I know this will take time and consistent effort,” he said.
