A procurement specialist is challenging entrepreneurs to take advantage of the numerous opportunities offered by government for the execution of lucrative contracts across the public sector.
Dwayne Bailey chided some entrepreneurs for being lazy, accusing them of falling victim to the spurious argument that government contracts are only given to the friends and relations of the connected few.
Bailey, on his podcast, says there’s nothing to fear where public procurement is concerned.
He notes that billions of dollars in contracts have been awarded to various firms to provide goods and services to government institutions over time.

According to Bailey there’s no credible basis for entrepreneurs to have misgivings about doing business with the government.
He says where some business people dither, others have been making hay, grabbing the opportunities to make money through the provision of goods and services.
Bailey says the government has created an electronic procurement portal, GOJEP to facilitate easy registration for companies interested in bidding for and executing government contracts.
According to Bailey, entrepreneurs must alter their thinking and get themselves in competitive shape to fight for the right to execute contracts from the largest consumer of goods and services in any country.
He says where procurement is concerned, business people literally have nothing to be afraid of.
