Private Sector Urged to Increase Job training

“The private sector needs to increase on the job training!”

That’s the call from former President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, PSOJ, Howard Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell says the time has come for the sector to allocate more in their budget for training workers and raising productivity.

Mr Mitchell says more than 50 percent of students trained at Mona School of Business leave to go overseas.

He added that human capital is Jamaica’s most important resource and highlighted a few companies that capitalize on this fact.
