PM: Jamaica Has High Participation Rate in Labour Force

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says Jamaica has a high participation rate in the country’s labour force.

The prime minister was speaking at the Amber Group Launchpad at the University of Technology, UTECH, on Wednesday.

Amber-UTECH’s Launchpad initiative aims to invest over $2 billion in 100 startups over the next three years. This investment will help aspiring entrepreneurs with capital training launch and market their products from start to finish.

Prime Minister Holness says Jamaicans must adopt the mindset that the country is an environment where businesses thrive.
