Veteran reggae artiste Papa Biggy says his latest single 'How Much More' was created to deter the youth who want to enter the gang culture.

Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR, the entertainer said he is hoping that the track will educate its listeners that no good can be derived from a life of crime.

"The inspiration of this track comes from my keen observation of vulnerable young men within the lower income bracket of society who are often times manipulated to thinking they have obtained real wealth and power, only to find themselves fall victims of the same system that sometimes enables them achieve such status," he said.

Released in March, How Much More was produced by LifeForce Productions. According the to the United States-based, Jamaica-born artiste, the song has been getting airplay, and while he is pleased with the traction it is achieving, he is hoping the message will be adaptive.

"It pains my heart to see the youth just being in the fast lane and going down a path that cannot bring good. There is a gang culture in Jamaica and other parts of the world and I would like to see this stop. The guns are not our friend and there are just too many families in mourning over their loved ones," Papa Biggy said.

As he continues to promote the song, Papa Biggy said he is working on a series of singles with a focus on getting a few hits before adding them to his upcoming album.

"Outside of music, I am working and providing for my family but I am also busy recording as I love music," he said.

Papa Biggy became famous in the early 1980's. He has voiced many conscious songs including Your Dreams, Stop Dem, and Walk With God.
