Netball Chalet Renamed in Honour of Marva Bernard

Netball Jamaica opened the renovated Netball Chalet at Widcombe Road in Kingston, on the weekend.

The facility was also renamed the Marva Bernard Netball Chalet, to the surprise of the former president of Netball Jamaica.

The netball house was first offered to Bernard, the then Netball Jamaica president in 2010 by the then Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Hon. Bruce Golding, to use as she sees fit to advance the sport in the country, as well as on the world stage.
