Mayor Says Glitch Delaying Applications for Income Tax Credit at Clarendon Municipal Corporation

2 months ago 16

Mayor of May Pen, Joel Williams, has attributed a delay in some employees’ applications for the Reverse Income Tax Credit to a glitch in the Clarendon Municipal Corporation’s accounting systems.

His statement follows complaints from employees who faced difficulties applying for the one-time reverse tax credit.

Reports to our news team suggest the municipal corporation had failed to comply with the Employer’s Annual Return for 2023.

However, Mayor Williams says that’s not the case.

The concern was put to the TAJ’s Meris Haughton. She says TAJ has assembled a team to re-assess applications that have been denied.
