Dancehall icon Vybz Kartel has moved to set the record straight about his relationship with fiancee Sidem Ozturk.
In a fiery Instagram post on Saturday, the Any Weather deejay launched a no-holds-barred defence of his love life, while taking aim at critics.
"I like haters. They inspire me almost as much as Gazanation," Kartel wrote, adding a smirk for emphasis.
The artiste's then launched a lyrical onslaught on naysayers, dismissing the chatter with his signature confidence.
"Dem a ask bout Sidem, but Sidem no see dem. Weh u kno bout we life? Stop pretend like we friends. Stop watch her, visual difference pon di lens.
Kartel's fiancee has long faced scepticism from fans, many of whom still yearn for the days of his relationship with Tanesha 'Shorty' Johnson. Kartel tackled this head-on, calling out the hypocrisy of those who claim to support Sidem now.
"Unuh same one did a say 'A Shorty we say' an a talk bout fi send back Sidem to di Thames. Bout she was a agent weh sent from the Feds?! U see unuh! Unuh nah wul no meds pon di endz," Kartel said, clearly unfazed by the drama.
Kartel then shifted focus, celebrating Sidem as a queen who is thriving despite the noise. "Anyway she's ok," he reassured fans.
"In the mansion with diamonds no blems on the gems. And she comfortable like the spreads on the beds. And she drive out the Porsche or the x or the Benz," Kartel declared with pride, painting a picture of a woman living her best life.
