Additionally, the St Mary-born Junior Toots has expressed confidence that the album will reflect the rich legacy of his father, who died on September 11, 2020.

“The fans should expect greatness and another legendary contribution to the legacy of Jamaican reggae and ska, filled with excitement and passion according to the high standards that my father set,” Junior Toots added.

The reggae royalty also said that he will be releasing singles from the album starting December 8, on his father’s birthday.

“I will also be talking to Trojan Jamaica about marketing and distribution of some of the singles. The other pre-releases will be on my website www.juniortoots.com,” he said.

Toots Hibbert, who emerged a column in reggae music being the lead vocalist for the reggae and ska band Toots and the Maytals, performed for six decades, thrilling audiences worldwide with his vibrant energy.

Junior Toots, who has an ever-growing fan base, has spent most of his life touring with his father. As a result, he now feels ready to carve out his own career path.

“I’ve toured extensively with my dad and learned everything from him and there was nothing in my opinion that he was lacking. He had it all; reggae, ska, fantastic energy on and off the stage and he thrilled his audiences everywhere he went. I am happy that I was able share such wonderful experiences with my father, a great legend and an icon, and I am now ready to show what I have learned,” he said.

The singer is also currently promoting a new track, She Needs My Love, which he claims was inspired by the women around him.

“This song was inspired by my love and respect for all good women around me; my woman, my mother, my aunty, my sisters and all the wonderful women I’ve come across and who are around the world. The Kings of Kings salute you all,” he said of the single produced by Junior Boogie and mixed and mastered by Ras Victory.
