Jamaican to Coach Cayman Islands in Inaugural T20 Tournament

Former Jamaica and West Indies all-rounder, David Bernard Junior, has been task to coach the Cayman Islands senior men’s cricket team for the inaugural 5-team North America T20 Cup competition.

The tournament which include, hosts Cayman Islands, Canada, Bermuda, USA, and the Bahamas will run from April 18 to 27.

Speaking on Radio Cayman’s Sports Extra, Bernard says the tournament will provide crucial preparation for his team ahead of the 2026 ICC men’s T20 World Cup Americas qualifier, later this year.

Bermuda will arrive early to get acclimatise to the facilities.

Bernard says they’ll use the opportunity to play the visitors in two warm-up matches.
