Jamaica completed the double in regional women’s cricket after beating the Leeward Islands by eight wickets at Warner Park in St. Kitts in the final set of games in the T20 Blaze, on Monday.
The Leewards batted first and made 124 for 5 in their 20 overs. Amanda Edwards, 36, and Divya Saxena, 25, scored most runs as Chadean Nation ended with 2 for 21.
Jamaica replied with 127 for in 18.2 overs. Captain Stafanie Taylor was left not out on 48 and Rashada Williams unbeaten on 39. Nation weighed in with 23.
It was a second title in eight days for the Jamaicans who also secured the one day crown.
