Jamaica Open Golf Tournament Organisers Keeping Eye on Weather

The overseas based participants for this year’s 57th Jamaica Open Golf Tournament are due to start arriving in the island on Thursday.

The tournament will be held at the world famous Tryall Golf Course in Hanover November 10-12.

However, action gets underway on Saturday November 9 with the ProAm tournament.

President of the Jamaica Golf Association Jodi Munn-Barrow says the course is in immaculate condition but she is wary of the the adverse weather conditions affecting the country.

Munn Barrow says she is expecting at least 70 Golfers for the tournament, a situation she welcomes but also believes it could be a problem

So far 61 golfers have been registered with one from Australia and another from Uganda.

The winner will take home US $20,000.
