Coach of Jamaica’s senior men’s football team, Heimir Hallgrimsson, says they played tactically well in their 1-0 win over Panama in the third-place match of the Concacaf Nations League at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday.

Defender Dexter Lembikisa scored in the 42nd minutes to give the Reggae Boyz the win.

With the victory, Jamaica becomes the first team from the Caribbean in history to finish on the podium in the Concacaf Nations League.

It’s Jamaica’s fourth win against Panama in history and the first since the quarterfinals of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.

Hallgrimsson says the Boyz performance proved they can compete with the best in the region.
