Former World and Olympics 100-metres champion, Justin Gatlin, thinks USA could set a new world record in the mem’s 4-by-100-metres relay.
According to Gatlin, a quartet of Noah Lyles, Christian Coleman, Fred Kerley and Erriyon Knighton could erase the current record of 36.84 seconds.
The current record is held by Jamaica set at the 2012 London Olympics by the the quartet that included Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, Nesta Carter and Michael Frater.
Gatlin on his podcast “Ready Set Go” admits that breaking the record will be difficult, but he believes USA has the athletes to do it.
