First Woman to Head a Parish Football Association, Lorraine Scringer, Dies

History making football administrator Lorraine Scringer has died.

Scringer, who in 1995 became the first female ever to be president of a local parish association, passed away two days ago.

Scringer was the president of the Hanover Football Association between 1995 and 2014. She also served under the late Captain Horace Burrell as a member of the Jamaica Football Federation, JFF, executive.

JFF president Michael Ricketts told Nationwide Sports that Scringer was a real football soldier.
