England Wins Narrow Game 3 to Take T20 Series

England beat the West Indies by three wickets in a thrilling encounter at the Daren Sammy Stadium in St. Lucia to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five match T20 series.

The West Indies recovered from 37 for 5 to post 145 for 8 in their 20 overs. England reached their target scoring 149 for 7 in the final over.

Captain Rovman Powell, 54, rescued the innings as only three West Indies batters reached double figures. The others were Romario Shepherd, 30, and Alzarri Joseph, 21 not out.

Saqib Mahmood and Jaimie Overton bagged three wickets each for England.

Chasing a winnable 146 to win, the West Indies made a strong start holding England to 75 for 5 after 11 overs, when Will Jacks went for 32.

Phil Salt, Jos Butler and Jacob Bethel were all dismissed for four.

Sam Curran, 41, and Liam Livingston, 38 provided the bulk of the English resistance, who eventually chased their target with four balls to spare.

Akeal Hossein took four wickets, while Alzarri Joseph Terrence Hinds and Gudakesh Motie all took a wicket a piece.
