Elimination of Asset Tax Among Key Issues Raised in Private Sector Meeting

Finance minister, Fayval Williams, says the elimination of asset tax is among the key demands of the private sector.

The minister made the comment following a meeting with members of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, PSOJ, at the finance ministry on Tuesday.

Among those in attendance were PSOJ president, Metry Seaga, and Commissioner of Customs, Dr. Velma Ricketts Walker.

Minister Williams says the selection process for boards was also a major topic discussed at the meeting.
