Eight Years With No New Taxes ‘A Significant Milestone’ – Hill

Minister of Industry, Investment, and Commerce, Senator Aubyn Hill, says Jamaica’s run of eight years without introducing new taxes is a significant milestone.

Senator Hill was speaking on Wednesday at the Jamaica Business Reform Forum held at the AC Marriott Hotel in Kingston.

This follows the announcement by finance minister Dr. Nigel Clarke during his opening budget presentation on Tuesday.

Senator Hill says this achievement bodes well for Jamaica’s growth.

Senator Hill says no new taxes will allow those in the private sector to breathe a sigh of relief.
