Re-energised and re-invigorated by a huge Pepsi-Cola Jamaica endorsement, dancehall’s sweetheart D’Yani is hoping to kick things up a notch with the release of a new EP titled Muse.

The entertainer told The Gleaner that having been encouraged and supported by his main fanbase (the ladies), he is paying it forward with his latest body of work, which, he says, is dedicated to his core supporters.

“The concept for this project came from the women, who are my main fan base. They are my muse, the core of where my music is created from, and so it is a dedication to my female audience. The ladies have been riding for D’Yani, and with D’Yani, since day one, so it was only right that I show reverence and love to the women,” he shared. “I should be releasing this project later this year. There will be six singles on it, three that have already been released and three you’ve never heard before, and I’m excited to get it out there and share it with you guys.”

EXTRA

D’Yani, one of the leading acts at Downsound Entertainment, says the EP is extra special as it will showcase how much he’s matured as an artiste. As he tells it, he’s grown significantly over the last few years and is eager to share that development with listeners.

“I have worked on my brand, developed a great deal, and I continue to thrive. I really can’t complain, because I have seen the growth and I am thankful that I have a team that have facilitated that. Downsound Entertainment has been like a family to me and I am excited to see how much further I can go with their continued support,” he said. “If you have been following my career you’ll see the developments for yourself. Artistically, I have improved vastly, and I just want to continue to express my creativity and grace bigger platforms, do more tours. There’s just so much more to come from D’Yani.”

Speaking of tour, the Goddess singer is slated to embark on his début solo tour of the UK this November. The tour, also titled ‘Muse’, will see him making stops in Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bristol and Sheffield and are expected to take place from November 24-26.

D’Yani says having visited the UK on numerous occasions on one-off shows, he’s excited to venture into new territory as he looks to expand his musical portfolio.

“These shows are extra special because they will be all me. Fans will be coming just for me, and already two shows are sold out,” he said. “This is just the beginning for me. Like I said, I have grown a lot over the past few years and I’m excited to mature even more. As an artiste, staying at one level is unacceptable, and so you have to keep pushing forward and going for greater things.”

In addition to the EP and upcoming tour, D’Yani is also currently promoting two new singles, Lock N Key and Life’s Amazing.
