‘Choppa’ By Byron Messia, Lil Baby and Rvssian Debuts at #51 On The UK Singles Chart

“CHOPPA” by The Kittitian dancehall artist Byron Messia, Lil Baby and Rvssian has debuted at No. 51 on the UK Singles Chart.

The song produced by Rvssian was released on June 13 by Simple Stoopid and Capitol Records. 

It is Messia’s third UK Chart single following his breakout hit “TALIBANS,” which entered the chart June 8, 2023 and peaked at No. 12, spending a total of 19 weeks on the chart.

The music video for the song with hip hop and dancehall influences directed by Decat has surpassed 1.7 million views on YouTube and is currently rending at #9 in Jamaica.

It is currently charting at #1 in eight regions on Apple : Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, and Turks and Caicos. Additionally, it peaks at #2 in Grenada and ranked within the top 10 in Barbados (#4), Trinidad and Tobago (#5), Gambia (#7), Antigua and Barbuda (#9), and Guyana (#10). The song also placed within the top 20 in Belize (#15), The Bahamas (#15), and St. Vincent and The Grenadines (#17). Further chart positions include #37 in Ghana, #54 in Sierra Leone, #57 in Seychelles, #65 in Mali, #89 in Liberia, #90 in Jamaica, #93 in the United Kingdom, and #123 in Nigeria.

His other UK charting single is his feature on Chris Brown’s Nightmares which peaked at No. 73 the week of November 23, 2023.

Lil Baby now has a total of 28 singles to hit the UK Chart. This week his single with Central Cee ‘Band4Band’ moves down to No, 7 after peaking at No. 3. The song spends 7 weeks on the chart.

‘Band4Band is produced by Ghana Beats and Geenaro, with UK drill beat influences that see both rappers going back to back with lyrical prowess. The music video, directed by Wowa, features the artists and their teams cruising through London in colorful Lamborghini Urus SUVs, exuding a presidential vibe.

The collaboration “BAND4BAND” set a new record for the biggest streaming day for a song by a UK rapper on Spotify, with 5.26 million streams on June 1. The track also reached No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Central Cee’s highest chart position in the US. Central Cee previously held the streaming record with his 2023 release “Sprinter” alongside fellow Brit Dave.
