#CHAMPS2024 | KC’s Gioko takes gold in 5,000m

Kingston College’s Ethan Gioko won the Open boys’ 5,000 metres final in commanding style at the National Stadium today at the ongoing ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships.

Gioko was the only competitor to break the 16-minute barrier, as he clocked 15:09.11 minutes to claim the gold medal. St. Jago High’s Daniel Pennant took the silver medal in 16:53.99 minutes, while Glengoffe High’s Jeremiah Hinds won bronze in 17:02.38.
