President of the Jamaica Badminton Association, Vishwanauth Tolan, has described the recent All-Jamaica Championships as a success.
Tahlia Richardson was a standout performer, claiming the Women’s Open singles title with a commanding 21-10, 21-14 victory over Alexandra Beckford.
Richardson also triumphed in the Women’s Doubles alongside Breanna Bisnott and the Mixed Doubles with Anthony McNee, capping a stellar tournament.
McNee secured the Men’s Doubles title with Kemar Valentine, defeating Craig Allison and Mickhail Williams 21-19, 21-17.
In the Men’s Open final, Joel Angus displayed resilience to edge out Craig Allison in three sets, winning 21-18, 13-21, 21-13 to claim the crown.
The Rising Shuttler category, introduced to spotlight emerging talent, saw Brianna Burke and Samuel Smith take top honours.
Burke defeated Sue-Ann Ogle 21-9, 21-18, while Smith secured his title via walkover.
