Amber Group Investing in Jamaica

When Dushyant Savadia decided to make Jamaica his home in 2012, his mission became to help as many Jamaicans succeed as possible.

Speaking on Taking Stock with Kalilah Reynolds, the Amber Group CEO said he first came to Jamaica with the Art of Living Foundation to teach stress management workshops to inner-city youths and inmates.

“But in early 2015, I ran out of funding and that’s when I decided that charity cannot happen from an empty bowl. To do good in the society you need wealth,” he said.

“That’s when I decided uh to build businesses with the sole purpose of doing good for the society,” Savadia added.

Savadia founded Amber Group in 2015, with their flagship service Amber Connect a vehicle tracking and telematics company. Since then the group has branched off into 13 different companies, including, Amber Cybereye- a cybersecurity firm, Amber Pay- an e-payment platform and Amber Fuels.
