World Bash is headed to the O2 Arena in Birmingham, UK on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 5, for what the promoters say will be a historic night of sound system entertainment. Billed as the only sound system concert in the world, the event is bringing “the biggest and baddest” sounds to the UK, following a successful US staging last year.

The musical extravaganza features an all-star line-up of significant players in the sound system industry, including Bass Odyssey, LP International, Bodyguard, Code Red, Dynamq, Killamanjaro, David Rodigan, Saxon, Empire Sound, Luv Injection and V Rocket International.

Produced by Irish and Chin, Reggae Girls and Classical & Vision Promotions, the event offers UK fans a chance to see sounds they haven’t seen in many years in an exciting, new stage-show style. World Bash marks an expansion of Irish and Chin’s famed World Clash brand, minus the clash.

Garfield ‘Chin’ Bourne of Irish and Chin noted that the event “offers unparalleled stage-show vibes. With a mix of classic anthems and good music, the night promises to be a festive affair for dubplate lovers and champagne spillers alike”.

Fans have been buzzing with excitement since the late 2023 announcement of the World Bash UK edition, eagerly anticipating the rare gathering of these elite sound systems on one stage. The fact that many of these iconic sounds have not shared a stage together in years adds to the special nature of the event

“With everyone talking, it gives me a good feeling about World Bash. The fact that people are excited means there is still a desire for sound culture,” said Valerie ‘Lady Vee’ Robinson of Reggae Girls and V Rocket International.

Bourne added, “Whether you’re a dedicated dubplate enthusiast or someone who simply enjoys the vibes of reggae and dancehall culture, World Bash is set to be a night to remember as the vibrant sound system culture continues to captivate audiences worldwide.”
