77,000 to Receive Reverse Income Tax Benefit this Week

Approximately 77,000 Jamaicans are to receive payments under the government’s reverse income tax credit scheme this week.

Outgoing finance minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke, made the announcement in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

Each individual is to receive $20,000. That’s a payout of $1.5 billion.

Dr. Clarke says the remaining recipients will receive payments in the coming months.
