A St Elizabeth resident, 'A Reid', is celebrating the holiday season early after winning the $162 million Super Lotto jackpot.
Reid showed up to collect his winnings in a costume of the cynical grump, The Grinch.
After falling short a few times, his persistence finally paid off with the winning numbers 11, 19, 24, 25, 33 and Super Ball 5.
As it's the season of giving Reid, who says that he was always the person to give from the little that he had, says now that he has more, he plans to give back even more for the holidays.
"Winning this money isn’t really about me, I will definitely be using most of it to help others.”
"This win is about more than just the money and is bigger than me," Reid said.
"I will use this money to provide for my children and to finally buy a house. I will also be giving back to my community through the church and the schools," he continued.
Reid is the fourth jackpot winner for 2024.
In March a winner took home $163 million, while another won $236.5 million in August.
The third winner was from St Maarten, and took home $294 million in August.
